Kathakali - A 14-Layer Manually Aligned Masterpiece

Kathakali is the heartbeat of Kerala’s classical traditions, and our screen-printed edition honors this complexity in every detail. Because of the vast array of colors and fine lines inherent in Kathakali makeup, standard printing methods fail to capture its essence.

That is why we utilize a rigorous 14-color screen printing process. We believe that art worth having is art worth perfecting. Through the manual alignment of 14 different screens and 14 distinct print passes, we recreate the depth, texture, and intensity of a traditional performance. This is a rare, labor-intensive craft—a true collector’s item that stands as a testament to the dying art of manual multi-color screen printing.
